The Arbiter takes home 22 Idaho Press Club awards

The Arbiter, Boise State’s student newspaper, took home 22 awards from Idaho Press Club on Saturday, April 27. This is an increase of five awards from the year before, when The Arbiter won 17 honors. The awards include first place in General Excellence and General Excellence – Student Website, marking The Arbiter as the best student newspaper in the state.

Several individual awards were also won this weekend, including first place in watchdog/investigative reporting, serious feature, light feature, column writing, editorial, sports news report and page design.

Students who won awards included Jordan Erb, Ximena Bustillo, Logan Potter, Delaney Brassil, Autum Robertson, Maddie Ceglecki, Isabel Sarhad, Wyatt Wurtenberger, Taylor Humby, Blake Simony, Zach Hill and Bailey Nellesen.

Jordan is the product of several generations of impassioned travelers, foodies, animal lovers, go-getters, joke-tellers and goofballs.
