“Welcome Back Bronco Nation. I am Adam Bridges, the Sports and Rec. Reporter for the Arbiter, and I am here to guide you through this new football season as Boise State opens up with a thrilling matchup against the University of Central Florida. On Thursday September 2nd at 5 pm Mountain Time, Boise State will be heading to the Bounce House in Orlando Florida to take on the UCF Knights.
This week one matchup will serve as the very first meeting between BSU and UCF and the third time Boise State will be playing a team from the American Athletic Conference, the AAC.
Nobody knows how well a team will do until they start playing, but a team’s record from the previous year is a great way to gauge how this upcoming season will go. The Broncos ended last year’s season off with a 5-2 record while the Knights finished off with a record of 6-4.
Players to watch out for on Boise State are Quarterback Hank Bachmeier, Wide Receiver Khalil Shakir and Running back George Holani. UCF’s key players include Quarterback Dillon Gabriel, Wide receiver Jaylon Robinson, and edge rusher Big Kat Bryant.
Although UCF is a 6 point favorite in this game, The Arbiter Sports staff is predicting that Boise State will win 35 to 24 in an offensive heavy showing.
That concludes this week’s game preview, make sure to watch BSU and UCF duke it out in a highly anticipated match-up this Thursday and don’t forget to check out the arbiter to keep you updated on all things Boise State athletics.”
