Boise State has launched an online COVID-19 dashboard that will help the campus community stay up to date on infection rates for students, faculty and staff.
The university has reported eight new cases of COVID-19 from Aug. 22 to Aug 28. In total, the university has reported 16 total cases on campus: two faculty cases, one residential student and 13 off-campus students.
The dashboard will track the weekly number of COVID-19 infection rates broken down by category of percentage and number of new cases. Information on the percentage increase or decrease of cases from the prior week will be tracked through the dashboard as well. It will also show the total cases since Aug. 15.
Of the 115 rooms designated for self-isolation in on-campus housing, five of the beds are currently occupied. The occupancy and vacancy rates of these beds will also be public knowledge via the dashboard.
Boise State’s Public Health Office will update the information every Friday.
This is an ongoing story and The Arbiter will continue to report on it as new information becomes available.
