Boise State President Bob Kustra will be honored by Concordia University School of Law with its Leaders in Action Award in Education. The award will be presented at a reception on Friday, Feb. 28.

Also being recognized is Stephen S. Trott, senior judge of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, who will be presented with the Leaders in Action Award in Law. Michael Jung, president and publisher of the Idaho Statesman, will serve as emcee.

The Concordia University School of Law’s Leaders in Action Awards recognize those who have made significant contributions to making Idaho a better state.

“President’s Kustra’s excellence in his profession has transformed our community, which epitomizes what it means to be a Leader in Action,” said Concordia Law School Dean Cathy Silak.

Concordia Law’s webpage noted that, as Boise State president, Kustra has significantly expanded what it means to lead a metropolitan higher education institution – focusing on research, a vibrant campus life, and improving the undergraduate experience.
