It’s happening again: Boise State’s Masters of Fine Arts in creative writing reading series will bring another world-renowned poet to campus.
Myung Mi Kim is originally from Seoul, Korea. She moved to the United States when she was nine and now holds degrees from the University of Iowa (MFA) The John Hopkins University (MA), and Oberlin
Kim has published four books, “The Bounty”, “Commons”, “Under Flag” and “Dura”, and other writings.
Through her poetry, Kim’s struggles and life experiences of living through the Korean War and coming to America at such a young age are explored.
Myung Mi Kim will read in the Farnsworth room of the Student Union Building on Friday, Sept. 28 at 7:30 p.m.
The event is free for students, faculty and community members.
