With the Boise State Broncos’ second home game kicking off against the BYU Cougars Thursday evening, The Arbiter went around to the tailgates outside the Bronco Stadium to pick their brains:

Why do you think Boise State students leave the football games during half time?

These were some of the responses we received:

Taylor Devereux

“I’d like to say it’s because the opponent but I would also like to say that Boise State students are kind of lack luster in their support.”

Caitlin Kreyche

“Sometimes I think that being a little too good at something can be bad because when people win all the time people can get bored. But when you are not as good at something it brings competition and makes things interesting. Sometimes too good makes things bad.”

Ryan Freers

“I think that Boise State students left last game because it was particularly hot and they wanted to get into the shade but I think for this game they are going to either stay and watch the half time performances or they will get Chick-fil-A.”

Kacey Hammond

“Boise State students leave football games at half time to keep their buzz going.”

Kate Dreger

“I think a lot of students, when we have more of a losing type season, tend to leave. And even when we have a winning season towards the colder seasons is also another reason why student end up leaving.”
