“From the Treasure Valley to the valley of the sun, Fiesta Bowl here we come.” These are the words spoken by Boise State University President Bob Kustra, which best sum up the focus around BSU for the final three weeks of 2006. Kustra was one of many people to address boosters and local media Monday night at one of the first of many Fiesta Bowl parties for Boise State supporters.

PHOENIX - As a member of The Arbiter staff, I have been most wondrously chosen to accompany the Boise State Broncos to the Valley of the Sun.
We came on our own, by air, via Oakland, Calif., where we became befuddled that the FAA has such strict regulations on the mouthwash you can take in your carry on, but the Oakland airport doesn't have ceilings.

The Boise State football team took time out of its Fiesta Bowl practice schedule Wednesday to do a little celebrity work in Scottsdale, Ariz. The Boys and Girls Club of Scottsdale visited Boise State's practice for a meet-and-greet with BSU players. The Youth Gridiron Day gave local children the opportunity to toss the football with college athletes and even get some face time on local television with interviews about the event.
