Hawkins bids farewell to blue
Drew Hawkins has chosen to call football quits at Boise State due to a series of concussions sustained during his athletic career. The latest occurred during a recreational softball game.
After speaking with Dan Hawkins, head football coach at Colorado and Drew's father, there was a good chance he might have been the future of the slash player for BSU.

BSU MEN'S TENNIS SNUBBED
Football isn't the only place the Bronco athletics is being overlooked in the NCAA.
Boise State head men's tennis coach Greg Patton noted that they had been overlooked to host the 2010 ITA Kick-Off Weekend held Jan. 29-30.
Patton stated that it had to do with the fact that the Western Athletic Conference was not a powerhouse and that Boise is a sort of island for teams to travel to as part of the reasoning behind the decision to relocate the tournament.

Boise State football fans look at the program that spawned a new era of success with Chris Petersen leading the way. Just as many fans were left with jaws dragging on the floor when his predecessor, Dan Hawkins, chose to move forward to bigger and better things at the University of Colorado to take his shot at the Big 12 Conference.

Before getting off the Connector into downtown Boise, you may have noticed a mural painted on the wall of the Interfaith Sanctuary Housing Services homeless shelter. With predominant shades of pink, the painting promotes "community, compassion, dignity, and respect" in bold letters.

Campus Recreation provides a variety of services and programs to benefit the entire Boise State community. The department is housed in the Student Recreation Center. In the broadest of terms, we facilitate informal recreation, intramural sports, club sports, fitness programs, outdoor educational programs, an outdoor rental shop, a climbing gym, massage therapy, an athletic training clinic, personal training and fitness assessments, and development of students through employment and leadership opportunities.
