The Arbiter staff went around the Student Union Building to ask students if the possible extension of library hours would be beneficial to them. Here is what they had to say.
Would changing the library’s hours from 12pm to 2am be beneficial to you?

Definitely, like all students are really busy and sometimes you don’t have enough time to study, and some people have late classes and sometimes 12 isn’t long enough to study. Just more opportunities to study I guess, so I don’t see why not, I mean they can spend a ton of money on football, however, I think that education is more important than football.

Yeah I feel more so during dead week than finals week it should be 24 hours, I mean aren’t we supposed to be cramming during dead week? So why is it only till midnight or till 7 or whatever during dead week, that’s the only thing that really bothers me. My little brother went to UW and I want to say theirs is open 24 hours all day everyday, doesn’t matter if it’s dead week, finals week, whatever. I think that’s quite a bit beneficial. What about the people who don’t have computers at their house, how are they supposed to be studying? I’m lucky enough to have parent’s that help support me with a computer, but what about kids who don’t even have that?

I’m never really there that late, so it wouldn’t really benefit me personally, but I’m sure it would benefit a lot of people who do try and go that late. I don’t see the harm in it.
