Competitive decorating contests show Bronco pride

As part of the first ever Bronco Olympics, many broncos went all out with their decorating abilities last week to showcase their Boise State pride for homecoming week. Two separate decorating contests were held throughout the week and judged based contestants on their use of blue and orange, their tie-in to homecoming week and their creativity. One contest was held on campus between departments and the other was held downtown between student organizations.
The winner of the department decorating contest was the Conference Services for their creative incorporation of a concession stand feel and blue Boise State field. Honorable mentions were Career Center, Taco Bell Arena, Arts & Humanities Residential College and Human Resources.
The Student Organization which won the downtown decoration contest was Sigma Chi for the decorations of the Aspen Leaf Frozen Yogurt windows, with Alpha Sigma Alpha coming in second and Alpha Chi Omega coming in third.
Ten teams decorated windows downtown and the participating businesses were:
Solid Grill & Bar
NfiniT Gallery
indieMADE
Table Rock Brew & Pub
Aspen Leaf Frozen Yogurt
DL Evans Bank
Dunkley Music
Office Depot
Hal Davis Jewelers
Front Street Brokers
