At 5:44 p.m. on Sunday, Boise Police received a call about a body in Ann Morrison Park in a canal near the duck pond in the southwest corner near Crescent Rim Drive.
The body was found partially submerged in the canal and police believe it is the body of a local homeless man. Investigators said Sunday evening that the body had been there for quite some time.
The coroner has removed the body and has yet to determine a cause of death. No foul play is suspected.
UPDATE Monday 12:25 p.m.: The Ada County Coroner has identified the body as 47-year-old James Allen, a transient living in the Boise area.
