Obama croons his way onto ringtone lists
HARLEM, NEW YORK — President Barack Obama crooned the classic soul tune “Let’s Stay Together” to a packed crowd on Saturday at the Apollo Theatre
in Harlem.
This rendition is already available in ringtone format on his campaign website.
Al Green’s song was surprisingly successful, and since Al Green was in the audience at the time and didn’t jump up with bleeding ears, it
apparently was a faithful rendition.
But the eight-second snippet Obama sang didn’t leave much time for the audience to turn on him.
Maybe Obama was being careful to avoid any copyright infringements by cutting his performance short. SOPA has been making waves after all.
