Student Voices Video: What do you think about the campus smoking ban?

“I think there should be some designated spots for smokers to go to.”

“I think the smoking ban is a good idea, because, I’m sorry, but I don’t want to inhale smoke from someone else.”

“It’s a cleaner environment.”

3rd- Bill Wilson, Database Administrator

“I think it kinda’ sucks.”

4th- Kasey Hennig, freshman, nursing

“I like it. … You can really tell a difference.”

5th- Riley Cole, senior, finance major

“I don’t think people should be able to smoke on campus.”

6th- Eric Playstead, sophomore, computer science

“I don’t think we should have it. … I still see people smoking.”

    Everyone knows that second hand smoke is not doing others any sort of considerable harm. If there's any debate or question we need to bring the case studies on the subject back up to surface to be reviewed again like it was reviewed in 1993. These studies were a total of 33 case studies that proved that no one gets cancer from passing by smokers on the way to class. It get's better, some universities are discriminating against obesity and articles are now floating around about the idea of second hand obesity! Because the health concern is obviously junk media and logical fallacies I can honestly donate my thoughts about Boise States smoking ban.

    Boise State has taken it's first move towards discrimination. They've driven their students against each other in a heated debate and taken away personal liberties. They've spent lots of our tuition money on campus signs and stadium smoking areas. I guess the guests are more important than the students. Congratulations BSU, we haven't seen a discrimination movement like this since the slave days and the Hitler movement!
