I am a resident of Logan, UT and was in attendance at last night's BSU/USU football game. First off, congratulations on your win. You truly have an awesome football team. However, I would like to comment on how low-brow and unintelligent your fans and students are. It's one thing to cheer for your team. That's fine. But where you cross the line into just being a bunch of white-trash low lives is when whole groups of your fans scream "Utah State f-ing sucks" over and over. As I was sitting there with my two youngest sons, one of your fans actually yelled to us, "Hey boys, how does it feel to be such f-ing losers" and then he proceeded to do hip-thrusts in our direction. Also, I personally witnessed many of your fans passing around smuggled whiskey flasks and flashing bare body parts…etc. What a bunch of inbreds and poor sports. You do a great disservice to the reputation of your university.

The behaviour you described was totally unacceptable and I can only apologize for your experience. I can say though that most BSU fans are courteous and well behaved so please do not judge us based upon this experience. While it was very different I was upset a few years ago when USU students jeered Coby Karl as he shot free throws with chants of "Who's your Daddy?" Karly missed several key free throws that allowed USU to win. Later it was revealed that same day Coby Karl had learned he had a recurrence of cancer and George Karl was sitting there listening to that chant with much more important things on his mind. I went to the USU game expecting some rude behaviour but instead found very friendly people. Thanks for your hospitality in Logan and please do not judge us based upon a few bad apples you can find anywhere.

Now the consequence. I happen to own a company that will rename nameless at this time. We were planning on opening a facility in Boise in early 2011 that would mean over 4900 high-paying jobs for your community, including over 700 jobs for your college students. But guess what?…as of last night I have changed my mind. I wouldn't touch Boise and the BSU community with a ten-foot pole. Yes, you have a good football team, but in every other way that is important, you have shown yourself to be losers. And by the way, keep an eye on your local newspaper in the next week to see which company I own. When it is announced that my company is cancelling our Boise plant it will definitely be on the front page. Good day.

I certainly understand your feelings, based on the horrible behavior of a few BSU fans who attended last night's game. However, these are but a very small minority of Bronco Nation. After almost every home game, the local papers receive comments from the opposing teams' fans who describe the friendliness and courtesy of BSU fans towards them before, during, and after each game. Regretfully, every fan base includes a few scum-sucking idiots who perpetuate an image which is not even close to how 99% of that team's fans conduct themselves. I apologize for the behavior you and your children witnessed, and hope it doesn't negatively impact your perception of Boise, the BSU football program, or the other 99.9% of its fans who conduct themselves in a 1st class manner.
