On Wednesday, April 8, individuals at the Knitting Factory Concert House will experience what guitarist Dave Rude describes as “a full frontal rock assault.” Rude’s classic rock band, Tesla, will play a show that will make a believer out of even the most doubtful attendees.

Tesla has been making bluesy hard rock since the mid-80s. Their first album, “Mechanical Resonance,” propelled the band into the public eye via recognizable hits such as “Modern Day Cowboy” and ” Little Suzi.” Their star status continued as the band released a string of hit songs including: “Love Song,” “Signs” and “What You Give.” These classic songs still find their way onto Tesla’s set lists. Along with a few rare gems, tracks from the group’s most recent release “Forever More,” will also get some attention Wednesday night.

“We play hard,” Rude said. “And we play loud.”

Tesla lived up to their mantra when they sold out Boise’s Big Easy (now the Knitting Factory Concert House) last spring.

The multi-platinum selling band from Sacramento, Calif. will showcase openers: The Leo Project and Damage.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begin at 8 p.m. Tickets are $22.50 in advance and $25 the day of the show.
