What is the greatest challenge Boise
State will face in the next year?
Jill Dennis
Respiratory Therapy
Freshman
Being that it’s my first year, just adjusting. And studying and passing my classes.
Aren’t they talking about raising their tuition? I think that’s going to be a big challenge. Just hearing the students on campus [.]
Collin Hershey
Biology
Freshman
Everything’s kind of inflating around, because of the economy, people are trying to get more money coming in from
different places.
I think it’s obviously overcoming the economic conditions we’re in right now. Just being able to keep teachers in the classroom, keeping doors open, and that kind of stuff is going to be the biggest deal.
Nick Higginbotham
Creative Writing Major
Sophomore
I think it’s important that we have a level of academic success here, and that we’re held in fairly high prestige throughout the country. I’d like to think that I go to a good college, and I want other people to think that too.
I think it will be the influx of a lot of students coming in this next year. I heard a lot of talk about huge amounts of freshmen coming in, so that should be a pretty good test for the school [.]
Alison McCrink
Art
Senior
Probably trying to get done in five years, I think. Four years is sort of a dream at this point and even five years is pushing it because of how many credits we have to do.
I would say all of the budget cuts that seem to be going back. And the students are now noticing it, which is kind of a bad thing [.]
