The Texas Christian University offense is good. Really good. However, the Horned Frogs have been overlooked this season due to their highly ranked defense.
During the regular season they average 35 points per game – about four fewer points than Boise State. Their strong suit all season has been their run game. They averaged 215.7 rushing yards per game and are No.13 in the country.
Leading the way on the ground for TCU is junior Joseph Turner. Through 11 games, he has 494 yards and 10 touchdowns. Also making an impact is senior Aaron Brown, who has accumulated 445 yards in only nine games.
Quarterback Andy Dalton has 358 rushing yards and eight touchdowns. In all, five different players have 350 or more yards rushing.
Another strong point of the TCU offense is their passing. Junior quarterback Dalton has 2,045 yards and 11 touchdowns on the season. This season the Horned Frogs are averaging 417.1 of offense per game and keeping the ball for 35:05, which makes No.1 in the nation. BSU’s time of possession is only 29:13.
Dalton’s targets on offense are very dangerous as well. TCU has five different receivers who have 200 or more yards on the season. Leading the way is sophomore Jimmy Young. This season he has 926 yards and five touchdowns. BSU’s leading
receiver, Jeremy Childs, only has 741 yards.
TCU’s offense will try to keep the ball as long as possible and keep the ball away from BSU if they want to pull out a win.
BSU and TCU will face each other Tuesday, Dec. 23 in San Diego in the Poinsettia Bowl.
