Never retreat. unless to look good

Boise is a growing city. With that growth comes the need for cosmopolitan characteristics including grooming, shaving and shining.

Napoleon’s Retreat at 110 N. 8th St. offers a variety of services to trim that beard, color or weave that hair, wax unwanted hair or rejuvenate the entire body with a massage.

While the barbershop trade may be diminishing from cultural adjustments, Napoleon’s manages to maintain a similar atmosphere by catering to both men and women through classic as well as modern techniques.

Napoleon’s originally only accommodated to men. However, under new owners Cherie Buckner-Webb and Henry Webb, Napoleon’s has began to provide services for both male and female clientele.

“Our goal is to provide the ultimate salon and spa experience. We are committed to serving our clients in an atmosphere where health, beauty and personalized attention come together to create a memorable personal retreat,” Cherie said.

Entering Napoleon’s, clientele can find a vintage atmosphere appropriate for the full-service grooming and body sprucing Boise needs.

For men, Napoleon’s offers an assortment of grooming practices including haircuts, beard and mustache trims, a traditional hot towel steam and straightedge razor shave, color and highlighting for beard, mustache and hair, and chest, back or full body wax.

For women, Napoleon’s Retreat offers haircuts, all over color and color weaves, brow wax and shape, underarm wax and leg wax.

Napoleon’s also offers a variety of skin restoration methods and massage therapy. These include moisturizing, skin detoxification, hot stone treatment, sports massages, deep tissue therapeutic massages or a romantic interlude of the ultimate pampering of a full body massage for two.

Napoleon’s also offers shoeshine services by owner and “shoeologist” Hank. He accommodates to anything from golf shoes, to men’s and women’s shoes, purses and repairs.

Napoleon’s is more than a place to improve alluring qualities. It is also a place to go for rest, tranquility and privacy. Napoleon’s has a full-sized pool table, a digital television and lounge area, all of the vintage barbershop furniture and, with much ado, a painting of Napoleon Bonaparte.

Napoleon’s Retreat is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Monday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome and special appointments available by request.
