Thousands of Idahoans will visit “Idaho’s Original Maize” to see the candidates for this November’s Presidential Election. Each year the maze offers a new design and a new path through the stalks of corn. In celebration of their 12th season, “Idaho’s Original Maize” has brought the Presidential candidates to you. Sketches of John McCain and Barack Obama in an immense cornfield will serve as the passageways to guide customers through the maze.

The maze, consisting of more than two miles of twists and turns, opened Friday and will run throughout the Halloween season with the exception of Sundays. Friday and Saturday nights at the maze will be transformed starting Oct. 3 when the venue opens its “Field of Screams” haunted maze.

The maze is located at 8685 S. Meridian Rd., between Columbia and Hubbard Roads. Monday through Thursday hours are 4 – 9 p.m., Friday hours are 4 – 11 p.m. and Saturday hours are 10 a.m.-11 p.m. For more information call 922-LOST (5678) or visit the Maize’s website at
