Broncos first in preseason media poll

At the 2008 Western Athletic Conference football preview in Salt Lake City, Utah, the Boise State Broncos were picked to finish first in the media poll, while the Fresno State Bulldogs were tabbed fist place in the coaches poll.

BSU received 383 points and 25-first place votes in the media poll, while FSU, took a close second with 379 points.

Also at the football preview, BSU running back Ian Johnson was voted the preseason offense player of the year. Last season Johnson ran, for 1,041 yards and 16 touchdowns.
