Summer has officially arrived and along with that so has the start of Boise State football.

Monday, June 2 marked the first official day of summer football conditioning.

This was the first time since the Annual Blue and Orange Game in April that the team has been around each and the coaches working out.

“Everyone worked hard these last two days,” sophomore kicker Kyle Brotzman said. For the remained of the summer conditioning schedule Brotzman said that the team will be working out four times a week, running and doing some speed skills.

After a year of kicking duties for the Broncos Brotzman said that he is ready to go.

“I feel pretty good. I gained a little weight. I will try and keep that on so that my kickoffs are a little better and a little bit deeper and stay more consistent.”

Also for Brotzman the summer conditioning is a chance to get back into the thick of things after some time off.

“It gives me time to work on things in the summer. Get Stronger. Stay more consistent. “

Broncos receive string of verbal commitments

These last few weeks the Broncos have received many verbal commitments from high school payers across the country from the class of 2009.

Arizona cornerback Ebo Makinde verbally committed yesterday, while quarterback Joe Southwick of Danville, Calif., committed last week and running back Malcolm Johnson of Barlow High in Gresham, Ore committed on Monday.
