The Boise State Men’s basketball team plays the University of Louisville Friday in the first round of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament in Birmingham, Ala.

Louisville is a No. 3 seed. BSU is a No. 14 seed.

No. 13 Louisville (24-8, 14-4 Big East) has four players (David Padgett, Terrence Williams, Earl Clark and Jerry Smith) who average more than 10 points per game.

The Cardinals lost to Pittsburgh on the Big East Conference tournament.

BSU earned an automatic bid to the NCAA by defeating New Mexico State University Saturday in Las Cruces, N.M. in thrilling fashion, taking the Western Athletic Conference crown with a 107-102 (3 OT).

The time for tip-off Friday has not yet been released.
