Boise State administrators aim to raise student fees and tuition by a little more than $150 per student.
Departments requesting increases include Athletics, the Student Union, the Blue Thunder Marching Band, the Health and Wellness Center, the Children’s Center and Cultural Center. The university would also raise tuition by an additional $75, and include a $45 “strategic facilities fee.”
Students, faculty and staff wishing to comment on the proposed fee increases can do so today at 1 p.m. in the Student Union Building Lookout Room. Speakers must provide a written copy of their statement, and early sign-up at the Office of the Vice President of Student Affairs is encouraged.
Community members can also testify at the hearing, on the condition that they provide a written copy of their statement, sign-up in advance and identify themselves as a non-student prior to their testimony. Non-students will be allowed to testify at the discretion of the hearing officer.
