All evening and afternoon classes at Boise State University’s Canyon County Center and Boise State West in Nampa are canceled for the day as of 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2008. Offices on those campuses will also be closing as of 2:00 p.m. Classes scheduled on all other campuses, including the main campus in Boise will proceed as scheduled.
Individual department managers at campus sites outside of Canyon County are asked to consider providing early release to employees who live in Canyon County to allow for additional transit time and reduce the load of traffic during rush hours. In addition, faculty are encouraged to work with students commuting from outlying areas who may miss class due to the poor driving conditions.
All classes are expected to resume on Wednesday, January 30, 2008; however, due to the possibility of poor weather continuing, students and staff should continue to monitor local media and email for further updates.
The Arbiter encourages everyone to pay close attention to road conditions and drive safely. Check back for any available updates.
