Stampede hosts three home games

The National Basketball Association Development League affiliated Idaho Stampede (2-1), hosts a three game home stand starting this weekend to kick off its 2007-08 regular season home schedule. The Stampede plays Dakota on Friday, Albuquerque Saturday and Sioux Falls next Tuesday.

Idaho is celebrating its tenth anniversary season and is also currently defending the Western Division title. The Stampede finished the 2006-07 season tied for the best record in the NBA D-League. Some of this season’s attractions include a few players with local connections.

The Stampede roster currently consists of two former Boise State players, Roberto Bergersen and Jason Ellis. Boise native and Bishop Kelly High School graduate Cory Violette is also on the roster. Violette has started all three games this season and is averaging 16.3 points per game. Bergersen is averaging 12 ppg and Ellis is averaging nine.
