The San Jose State athletic department announced on the university Website, Saturday night, that the diagnosis is positive for injured Spartan football player

Justin Willis.

Willis suffered an injury during the second half of the SJSU game against Boise State and was taken by ambulance to Saint

Alphonsus Hospital.

Willis underwent a CT scan, which revealed no fracture to the cervical spine. He was scheduled for a follow-up MRI but no results have been announced yet.

The SJSU athletics Website reported that Willis does have full body movement, is alert and never lost consciousness.

He was expected to remain in the hospital overnight, with a member of the SJSU medical staff as a precautionary measure.
