I guess I am a phony soldier

A few days ago I was listening to a clip of Rush Limbaugh talking about veterans such as myself who vocally oppose the war in Iraq.

Rush made an argument that I found very striking: he said that we were phony soldiers, and secretly leftists as well. At first I was mad … but after all, I realized that Rush is right. There are only two possible ideological positions that an American, or any human being for that matter, can possibly hold.
Either one is a pro war Neo-Conservative, or one is a statist progressive.

That’s it.
I used to think that one could be in favor of both peace and freedom, but Rush, through his rapier sharp argument, has shown me that this is not the case.

So, I am no longer a phony soldier: ya know, the kind who took an oath to the constitution, I am a REAL soldier, I live only to serve the wishes of the military-industrial-congressional complex!

(This just in: Eisenhower was a phony Republican for saying the MICC is a bad thing!)
When we have turned Iran to glass, it’s on to make the rest of the world “safe for democracy!”

Stay and fight

It’s good to hear that Sen. Craig will stay and fight.
It is also gratifying he is not just another “Cut and Run Republican” like those that abandoned him, particularly his colleagues Sens. John McCain and Mitt Romney, as well as a number of his unthinking, myopic Idaho constituents.
How would you like these gutless wonders covering your back in Iraq?

No thanks.

Craig does us all a great service by aggressively pursuing the fight against those that would jail any and all us for the slightest perceived infraction of the law.

When did unremarkable hand and foot movements in a private bathroom stall become “lewd conduct?”

Local, State and Federal law enforcement need to explain this new standard of private conduct sooner, not later. It is becoming increasingly clear that Democrats and the liberal media have misled us about the gay community or we would not be in this queer position today.

And Senate Hearings? Bring them on! A Federal Grand Jury Investigation is also essential, given Minnesota’s egregious violation of Senator Craig’s Section 6, Article 1, Constitutional Rights.

It is time to start planning on a Supreme Court challenge to this grave public injustice. It is in our individual and collective self-interest to support this fight for personal freedom and privacy.

I am sending my moral support and donations to: Senator Larry Craig Legal Defense Fund 225 North 9th Street, Suite 530 Boise, Idaho 83702 I encourage you to do the same.

Artificial sweeteners are destructive

I am delighted to see such a thorough and comprehensive article on this subject, especially one from an author willing to accurately impugn the neurotoxic effects of Aspartame/ methanol/ formaldehyde/ diketopiperazine, one of the most common and most destructive artificial sweeteners, found in Equal, sugarless gum, etc.

In due course, the efforts of the corporate lobbyists, naysayers, professional spin doctors and outright liars who say it is as “harmless as mother’s milk, or salt and pepper,” will be revealed for the bearers and defenders of brain tumors, multiple sclerosis, etc.

In the meantime, readers can read the published articles of two physicians: Dr. Russell Blaylock, Neurosurgeon, and Dr. H.J. Roberts, Internist, as well as the published studies by the Ramazzini Foundation for Oncology Research in Italy.
Thank you, and keep up the good work Teresa Jenkins!

Organic health vs. pharmaceutical disease

In 1990, Dr. Matthias Rath discovered that heart disease is an early form of the sailor’s disease scurvy; heart attacks and strokes result from a simple, chronic Vitamin C deficiency in the body. Dr. Rath had unprecedented success in South Africa treating AIDS patients with a micronutrient program consisting of certain vitamins, minerals, trace elements and amino acids.
Cancer and Influenza? Proven to be readily controlled by natural micronutrients and enzymes.

Why were most of us not informed of these disease-shattering discoveries?

When one considers the immense profits obtained from prescriptions and “healthcare,” the suppression of this life-saving information is clearly understood. On April 15, 1998, the Journal of the American Medical Association reported that prescription drugs are the fourth leading cause of death in the U.S, with heart disease, cancer and stroke, respectively, claiming the top three positions.

Dr. Rath’s research shatters all four of the top killers in America, revealing that the current information suppression is responsible for a genocide larger than the Holocaust.
Excellent health is at your fingertips. Start research today at Dr. Rath’s website, www.dr-rath-foundation.org.
Reclaim your health by choosing natural, organic cures over pharmaceutical disease.

Sweeteners aren’t as bad as you say they are

The recent article “Chemicals found in artificial sweeteners may be unhealthy” irresponsibly raises concerns about low-calorie sweeteners, ingredients repeatedly deemed safe for human consumption.

The article’s suggestion that low-calorie sweeteners are not safe for consumption flies not only in the face of the vast body of available science, but also disregards the numerous government and regulatory authorities worldwide that affirm their safety.

In fact, all low-calorie sweeteners currently used in the beverage industry’s products have gone through extensive testing and rigorous review before entering the marketplace.
Further, aspartame is one of the most thoroughly tested ingredients of all time.

Both the FDA and the National Cancer Institute have repeatedly given them approval.

In fact, a recent expert panel, which included some of the world’s leading toxicologists, completed the most comprehensive review of aspartame research to date and, once again, confirmed its safety, even among its heaviest users.

Low-calorie sweeteners provide consumers with refreshing beverages without added calories, which can be a useful tool to help consumers maintain a healthy weight.
The beverage industry provides an array of beverages, all of which can fit into a healthy and active lifestyle.
