The Boise State Career Center sponsored the Fall 2007 Career/Job Fair in the Student Union Jordan Ballroom Wednesday, Sept. 26. Eighty-eight different companies had booths at this year’s career fair.

Present companies included those in local government, health care, technology, military and construction. "Boise State is very important to us," Peace Corps Public Affairs Specialist Maria Lee said. "We’ve found a number of volunteers over the years and we hope to find many more."

Students come to the career fair to look for part-time jobs, as well opportunities for after graduation. High school and college graduates from the community also attended the fair. "I hope to have something lined up when I graduate in May," Boise State student Kris Wolf said.

Many companies expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity to recruit Boise State students and graduates. John Deere Sales and Marketing representative Katie Yoder said it is easy for them to attend the career fair because of its central location within the Treasure Valley. "You guys have a great horticulture department," Yoder said.

Students can find more information on the companies represented at the fair, and information on career services at career.boisestate.edu.
