Forty-eight new members were added to Boise State’s faculty for the 2007-08 academic year. According to Provost Sona Andrews, a few of these are new positions but the majority  of the new staff were hired to fill vacancies. The new faculty include 11 from the College of Arts and Sciences; eight from the College of Social Sciences and Public Affairs; seven each from the College of Education and College of Engineering; five each from the college of Health Sciences and Albertsons Library; four from the College of Applied Technology and one from the College of Business and Economics.

They come from all over the country and a few are international faculty.
