New campus Starbucks caters to library patrons

Hot, fresh and foamy.

The long awaited Starbucks is open in the Albertson’s Library.

Although there is currently a Moxie Java stand and a Dawson’s 4.0 already on campus, Starbucks will be competing with the coffee stands to give students an extra boost every day on campus.

The new coffee shop is located directly inside the library entrance to the right, tempting every student, faculty and staff member walking through the main doors.

Who can turn down a few dollar spike in attentiveness, alertness and energy when the majority of the young adults that make their way through this campus are overworked and overrun?

Caffeine is the source for many students’ energy, almost forcing them into an addiction.

Starbucks will serve students in the center of campus, in and around the library whereas Moxie Java and Dawson’s 4.0 will hit students entering and exiting campus from both sides.

Moxie Java is in the Student Union Building, hitting students as they enter campus from the football stadium parking lots and as they chill out between classes.

Dawson’s 4.0, located on the first floor of the Multi-Purpose Building, gives students entering and exiting the campus from the Brady St. parking structure a caffeinated kick every morning.

Starbucks (by far the most popular and definitive coffee chain in the nation) now has its third location within immediate proximity of the campus.

With previously existing hot spots on the corner of University Drive and Capitol Street and on Broadway Avenue, this new location will give Starbucks the advantage in filling student caffeine cravings.

Starbucks’ hours for the Fall 2007 semester are from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Students working late in the library or getting up early to study will never again have a problem with alertness or focus.

Every type of caffeinated coffee beverage will be found around campus now.

Hanging out in the SUB and studying in the quiet spots as the coffee industry has finally completely taken over the Boise State campus.

After all, caffeine really keeps the mind focused and awake, right?

Regardless of whether or not abnormally large amounts of coffee and caffeine are healthy for the young body and mind, the majority of the Boise State student body will indulge in the caffeinated super bean day after day in an attempt to keep up with rigorous schedules.
