For Wilco, a band hailing from Chicago, Ill., 2007 has been an exciting year. The band once again moved forward with the release of “Sky Blue Sky” on May 15th, its first studio-album in three years. The press coverage of the release of “Sky Blue Sky” marked a critical point for Wilco, as the new record will be promoted in all Starbucks coffee shops, promising nationwide recognition and attention from new listeners.

BOISE - The first thing I learned when I became a journalist is that I am invisible. The writer of any story is supposed to be non-existent. Yet, I find myself setting a bad example for my young and resourceful staff, because Saturday I existed. I was alive and real and the repercussions of my meandering led to this, this diatribe of a day, this story, which is less than an article and more like something found in the City of Trees.

I’ve often heard my guy friends complain about the random e-mails they get on Myspace from promiscuous Webcam girls who try to lure them into purchasing a membership to pornography Websites. Imagine my surprise when I logged onto my account the other day and found the following e-mail waiting for me, grammatical errors and all.

Since I was little I’ve always loved basketball. I spent my teen years growing up watching Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls win six NBA championships. Those days are long past now and it’s clear that the National Basketball Association is in need of a serious revival.
