‘Grey’s Anatomy’ off screen
While “Grey’s Anatomy” continues to dominate the No. 1 spot in the ratings, one can’t deny the pleasure on hearing the drama doesn’t stop there.
According to officials, it appears cast members just can’t get along the way they ought to. With a story line involving gay bashing, fights and name calling, “Grey’s Anatomy” adds a taste of reality to its already-hyped popularity.
Apparently, actor Isaiah Washington (Dr. Preston Burke) may lose his job if rumors are true, after calling his co-star T.R. Knight (Dr. George O’Malley) a “faggot.” However, 10 days later, Knight admitted to the allegations and came out to the public.
Washington caused even more theatrics earlier, having brawled with Patrick Dempsey on set. The show may continue to grace the top spot in entertainment, but there’s no
denying the intrigue on hearing what our favorite characters are doing off screen.
NOT
Reality television to destroy NBC
NBC announced they are cutting back on evening sitcoms and dramas to give way to reality television. This means shows such as the past “Friends” and “The Cosby Show” will be
replaced with “Deal or No Deal” and similar programming.
The conclusion came after NBC decided to cut back on their expenses, meaning the loss of 700 jobs and $750 million in its budget. Head officials noticed the enormous interest in reality programming versus scripted material. Considering the cheapness in production of reality television, NBC decided to cut funding and follow the masses.
Let us just hope quality entertainment may once again return to the peacock station.

Fall foliage photo shoots
Now that all the leaves have turned and the air is crisp, it’s
the perfect time to host a fall photo shoot with a group of friends. Busting out the cameras now will let you capture some vibrant colors and fun (even if they end up looking like ads for American Eagle or Abercrombie and Fitch).
The best part is to plan an entire afternoon. Buy some champagne, put on a scarf and roll around in the leaves.
The event is sure to embrace friendships and make memories worth remembering.
NOT
The deal with political ads
It’s election season again and that means only one thing: the ruthless ad campaigns attacking everything from candidates to their mothers.
This year it appears Republicans and Democrats alike are going lower than they have ever gone to deface each other, and to tell you the truth it may be funny, but we want to hear the issues, not who did what with who, where and with what. One ad targeting Congressman Harold Ford Jr., promotes the idea that he’s a young playboy, which shows one woman asking him to call her in sexually-suggestive tone.
Apparently there are no limits this time around about what is acceptable campaigning and what’s not. While it makes for some interesting entertainment, I find the commercials a low-blow without discussing the real matters at hand: the government and its propositions.
