In response to “Private Wildresness Property” by Tamera Helgeson:
What a piece of hateful hypocrisy. How dare you equate shaving pubic hair with the hurtful, evil, criminal act of pedophilia?
As you say – we “are continually bombarded by insipid, vapid ideals of what a woman’s body should look like and how to run our romantic and sexual lives” – at the same time giving us your insipid, vapid ideals of the same thing, while telling us how people who shave their bush are trying to be 12-year olds.
You have every right to wear your bush proudly – and be loud about wearing it. However, don’t presume an air of righteousness or that you hold the enlightened position because of your personal grooming habits.
It’s not your bush that turns me off – it’s your personality.
Hatred, venom, hatred … it’s too bad

Special thanks to bookstore:
The Cultural Center and the International Programs Office would like to thank the Boise State University Bookstore for their generous contribution to the Trang Doan Memorial Scholarship.
Trang was a student that we lost in January of 2004 in a van accident coming back from a leadership retreat.
Her legacy is one of leadership, involvement, and passion. Her involvement touched so many students, staff, and faculty that many efforts have occurred to help raise money.
It was not until the generous donation, however, made by the bookstore, on the recommendation of their advisory board that we were able to get the scholarship endowed. Thanks to the endowment, we can now offer this scholarship to an international student annually.
This year’s recipient is Naoki Natsume.
The Cultural Center, the International Programs Office, and the various student organizations that knew and loved Trang send our deep and heart-felt thanks to the bookstore for their contribution.R
