


Boise State University announced last Friday its tentative football schedule for the 2005 season. Game times, and which games are to be televised, will be announced at a later date.
The Broncos open the season with two straight road games: Sept. 3 at the University of Georgia and Sept. 10 at Oregon State University. Boise State’s 2005 home opener at Bronco Stadium is Sept. 17 against Bowling Green University of the Mid-American Conference.
Boise State opens defense of its WAC Championship on Oct. 1 at the University of Hawaii. Boise State hosts Portland State University on Oct. 8 before playing its first home conference game on Oct. 15 against San Jose State University.
The Broncos other remaining home games include the University of Nevada on Oct. 29, New Mexico State University on Nov. 5, and the University of Idaho on Nov. 19.
Boise State’s remaining WAC road games are at Utah State University on Oct. 22, Fresno State on Nov. 12, and Louisiana Tech University on Nov. 26.
Boise State is coming off an 11-1 season in 2004, including its third straight undefeated WAC Championship. The Broncos ended the season ranked 12th in the Associated Press media poll and 13th in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches poll.
