BOISE, Idaho – The competition for the starting
quarterback job remained tight after the first scrimmage of the

cap the drive. Zabransky finished the scrimmage completing 10-of-15

team to a couple of late touchdowns. Tharp, who completed 6-of-9
passes for 154 yards and two touchdowns, found James and Jovan
Hutchinson on a pair of 65-yard scoring plays on back-to-back
drives.

scrimmage. He connected with Schouman on a 45-yard strike. Naanee
finished the scrimmage completing 2-of-4 passes for 59 yards with a

yards for a touchdown. Senior Chris Carr returned a punt 82 yards
for a touchdown.
