The Bronco volleyball team will continue their WAC play tonight

in Houston, taking on the Rice Owls.

The Broncos, who are back on the road after a very short home

stand, look to seize these crucial in-conference games.

The Owls hope to claim their first conference win this season.

Rice is 8-2 overall for the year, and will undoubtedly attempt to

prove themselves against a young Bronco team.

The Broncos, who split their first two in-conference games last

week at home in Bronco Gym, are coming off a tough loss against

Southern Methodist University.

The Broncos will focus on this match against the Owls as a

crucial game for the success of this young, but talented squad.

Boise State will then travel to Oklahoma to finish their road

trip. In Tulsa, the Broncos will battle the Golden Hurricanes on

Saturday. Tulsa, like Rice, is without a conference win this

season, but the Golden Hurricanes have an overall record of 9 and

6.

These wins are critical for Boise State – the Broncos

could use them to get an early lead on the WAC standings.

Boise State has already significantly improved upon their 2002

record, and a few more wins could mark 2003 as the programs’

turning point.

The Broncos will return home to host the Rainbow Wahine of

Hawaii at Bronco Gym on Oct 9.
