


TVTV Film Festival…
This Sunday, Treasure Valley Public Access Television is sponsoring Boise’s first annual Public Access Film Festival in Special Events Center at 2 p.m.
There are two short film categories, amateur and professional, for the judges to choose from. All winning entries will be played in their entirety on TVTV’s cable Channel 11. Door prizes will also be given away at the event. This event is co-sponsored by Boise State’s Dead Eight Club. Tickets can be purchased at the door: $1 for students and children under 12 and $3 for general admission.
Idaho Dance Theatre…
Idaho Dance Theatre presents its spring performance, “Simply Sensational,” Saturday night in The Morrison Center.
IDT’s performances are a fusion of dance, theatre and surrealism. “Simply Sensational” features choreographer Carl Rowe’s popular piece “Vespers,” set to the music of Sergei Rachmaninoff. The Boise Master Chorale, conducted James Jirak, will perform Rowe’s piece live. New pieces by Marla Hansen and Thax von Reither are also being showcased at “Simply Sensational.” The show starts at 8 p.m. and tickets can be purchased at all Select-a-Seat locations. Boise Contemporary Theatre…
Boise Contemporary Theatre opens David Lindsay-Abaire’s comedy “Fuddy Meers” this Thursday, which is running through May 5.
BCT’s version of “Fuddy Meers” is directed by Artistic Director Matthew Clark and boasts a cast of company players such as Stitch Marker, Nick Garcia, Dan Peterson and Tracy Sunderland.
Lindsay-Abaire’s comical play premiered at New York’s Manhattan Theatre Club in 1999, and since then, has went on to become a smash-hit at theatres across America. Tickets are available at all TicketWeb locations or by calling 467-4849.
