


With all the militant anti-Americanism that seems to pervade the halls of this campus, particularly with regards to the recent “war on terror,” I figured I’d do a tiny bit of research regarding the topic since it seems so obvious that nobody at The Arbiter has opted to do so.
My experiences with the U.S. military have given me the opportunity to look at terrorism from a perspective that most Americans don’t get to experience, however this by no means makes me an expert, and I don’t expect anybody to simply take my word for it either. I can at least say that the anti-globalization/anti-capitalist contention everybody seems so quick to espouse on the pages of this publication are so completely off base that it’s more than a little ridiculous.
In my response to a recent article against the war in Afghanistan by Mr. Nate Williams, I stated that easily 95 percent of the terrorist organizations in the world are Islamic. That figure is by no means exact, but if you go down to the library and check out an encyclopedia of terrorism, you’ll see that the vast majority of organizations listed are exactly as I said. You’ll find more Jihad’s, Abu’s, and Al-Mohammed’s than you’ll find Smith’s or Johnson’s in an American phone book (bad clich
