


“Musical M & M’s”…
Boise State’s Department of Music is presenting an orchestra concert, “Musical M & M’s,” this Sunday night in the Morrison Center’s Main Hall.
“Musical M & M’s” stands for the composers Mozart and Mussorgsky. The first portion of the evening features Boise State’s Orchestra playing Mussorgsky’s Romantic blockbuster “Pictures at Exhibition,” which is a musical depiction of the 19th century Russian artist Victor Hartman.
The second part of the performance, the orchestra is playing excerpts from Mozart’s comical opera, “Abduction From Seraglio,” which they recently played in its entirety.
The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $3 for students. For more information call 426- 2980.
“Salon des Refuses”…
Saturday night, Boise State’s Liberal Arts League is presenting the 1st annual “Salon des Refuses,” which literally means a show of rejected art. In this case, “Salon des Refuses” is a showing of works that didn’t make the cut for the Juried Student Art Show that is currently showing in the Liberal Arts Building gallery. The goal of the LAL for the show is to dispel the perception that rejected art is bad. The show boasts great diversity and will feature an open forum of discussion. The opening runs from 6-9 p.m. in the Campus School Building- Room 103. This event is free to the public.
Latin vibes at Bouquet…
Agua Dulce, a southern California-based band, is coming to the Blues Bouquet this Friday for a night of sizzling Latin music.
Agua Dulce fuses Afro-Cuban, salsa, samba, reggae and funk music into a dynamic package of Latin vibes. The last time they played at the Bouquet, the dance floor was a veritable sea of bobbing heads, and the management expects more of the same this Friday night.
