with a win.
The game was dominated by the Broncos from the
beginning as they out shot the opponent 34-4 and with a

Finally, in the second half the Broncos took advantage
of opportunity. Freshman Monica Almaraz was brought
down by the Vikings and ended in a penalty shot given to
and scored by Boise State.
The kicker of the penalty shot was number 16
sophomore Brittany Zoellner. She stepped up and chipped
one in for the team giving BSU its victory at 1-0. Zoellner
scored her eighth goal and tied the Bronco record for
goals in a season with little over half the season to go.
Zoellner and Dayle McNabb were leading the Broncos
with eight shots apiece; trailing was Abbe Roche with five
and Kaziah Hill with four. Saturday’s victory put Boise
State at 2-3-1 overall and gave them a two game winning
streak.
